The Calumet County Sheriff's Office established its K9 program in 2016, which was made possible by donations from generous individuals and businesses from throughout the area.

Since then, our K9’s and their handlers have been tracking down criminals and taking drugs off our streets.

Since 2021, K9 Alek and Deputy Matuszak have been working together in our county.

In 2025, K9 Rex joined Deputy Fuller as our second K9 team replacing K9 Amer who is now enjoying his retirement.

Together, our K9 Unit has taken many illegal drugs off the streets in an effort to keep our community safe.  Our K9’s have also been a further asset to our area by visiting schools, businesses, and other civic organizations.  We are proud of our K9 Unit and the impact they have had in our community.

If you wish to donate to this worthy cause or have any questions, please contact Sheriff Brett Bowe at (920) 849-2335.
