Calumet County Public Health, in partnership with Lupita’s Mexican Market, is hosting a COVID-19 community vaccine event on Saturday, July 17 at Lupita’s, 503 N Madison Street, in Chilton.
This effort is supported by the Wisconsin National Guard, with additional partnership from Ascension Calumet Hospital and Casa Alba Melanie. Due to a generous donation from the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region, each person who completes the vaccine series will receive a $10 thank you gift.
Everyone ages 12 and older is welcome and eligible to receive the FREE vaccine. The event will run from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. No appointment, health insurance, or ID is needed.
Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson vaccines will be available during the clinic.
- Johnson & Johnson is a one-dose vaccination. Participants will be considered fully vaccinated 14 days following receipt of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
- Pfizer is a two-dose series, with doses scheduled 21 days apart. Participants will be considered fully vaccinated 14 days after completing the second dose of the Pfizer vaccine.
- For those receiving Pfizer, the second dose will be given at Lupita’s on Saturday, August 7 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
- Pfizer is currently the only vaccine approved for individuals age 12 through 17. The presence of a parent/guardian is required for vaccination of anyone under the age of 18.
